Facts about Juvenile Justice

Youth under the age of 18 who are accused ot committing a delinquent or criminal act are typically processed through a juvenile justice system. The primary goals of the juvenile justice system, in addition to maintaining public safety, are skill development, habilitation, rehabilitation, addressing treatment needs, and successful reintegration of youth into the community. How to Recognize Child Abuse

Child abuse is when a parent or caregiver, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to a child.
