- On average, clients spend 30 minutes in a video visit, 55 minutes in a health center for abortion pill appointments and less than 90 minutes for in-office procedures.

Who We Serve
1 in 4 people who are able to be pregnant in the United States will obtain an abortion in their reproductive lifetime. carafem’s services are for all of these people, specifically those between the ages of 18-29 who account for more than half of all abortions. These people are seeking quality information and services to address an unintended pregnancy. The need for an abortion cuts across racial, ethnic, and geographical identifiers but 61% of abortions are obtained by those who already have a child and almost half of people obtaining abortions have incomes below the federal poverty level.
